Creative Contemporary Capitals

Join published author and calligrapher Sally Towers-Sybblis as she demonstrates a simple capital lettering alphabet for use in the classroom or for your own personal use. These capital letters are easy to learn and use only sharpie pens to create. Sally will show you a variety of techniques to vary the layout of the letter in order that you have a number of options for any projects you may be considering. You will leave with a finished product. This class is great for bringing the love of handmade lettering back to the classroom. Students can be taught an appreciation for the art of calligraphy. This is also an opportunity for students to understand that calligraphy has many different styles from the very classical, using a dip pen and ink, to the very contemporary style, done with only a sharpie marker. Please note: there is a registration fee of $15/delegate for art materials.
