David Wilson (Edmonton Regional)

speakerImage Biography: David Wilson (BMus, Mmus) is a singer, conductor, voice teacher, yoga instructor, breath therapist and creator of The Wilson Method for Voice. He is recognized across Canada as the leading authority on the use of Yoga, Functional Vocal Work and Breath Therapy to aid healthy singing and speaking techniques. He has served as Artistic Director of Vocal Alchemy, Edmonton Recorder Orchestra, Calgary Renaissance Singers & Players and Debut Opera Society. David is the founder and former Artistic Director of Calgary’s Spiritus Chamber Choir – winning the “International Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award” for their CD, "Crossing Bridges". David was honoured with the Alberta Choral Federation’s Con Spirito Award in 1997. He currently holds positions with Edmonton Musical Theatre, the University of Alberta, Cowtown Opera Summer Academy, and Theatre Arts at MacEwan University.
